Nigger.
The most negatively charged, racist and hateful word a person can actually say in public. A word that marks the struggle and hatred that millions of African-Americans have seen for hundreds of years. A word that is so inconsequentially and thoughtlessly tossed around in conversation and recitation of lyrics by white boys who love rap music. A word that can cause an argument, a fight, or even a riot. And now, that word is the title of Nas’ new album.

Considering how prevalent 'nigger' is in the industry (and outside of it) I don't see how it's the most offensive and racist word... "cunt" seems worse, really, and "faggot" is a disguised death threat. Nas has said nigger in just about every album he's had... the only black rapper I can think that may not use nigger is P.O.S. and I doubt you've heard of him (get his album Ipepac Neat if you want some very nice but midland underground stuff)
I'm waiting for Eminem to put out "Cracker."
Let's hope Nas doesn't fuck up again, though, he's produced only a few decent tracks on everything since Illmatic. I realise too that he can't rap anymore, all his guest appearances (except for Mobb Deep) end up sucking.
Hell at this point, Jay Z has more artistry behind him.
